Filip Springer

Filip SpringerBorn in ‘82, a reporter and a photographer. His reporter debut “Miedzianka. The story of disappearance” (Czarne 2011) got to the finals of the Nike Literary Award and Ryszard Kapuściński Award. His next non-fiction books (‘Badly born. A feature on Polish People’s Republic Architecture’, ‘Bathtub and colonnade. A feature on Polish space ‘, ‘Pre-ferment. On Zofia and Oskar Hansen’, ‘13 floors’, ‘A book of charms‘) deal with the problems of Polish public spaces and architecture. In 2016 “Miasto Archipelag. Polska mniejszych miast” was published which was the outcome of a larger documentary project devoted to former Polish provincial capitals. In 2018 his prose debut ‘Watchmaker’ was published as a part of Wrzesinska Collection. Filip Springer lives and works in Warsaw, he cooperates with Non-fiction Institute, he lectures at Polish School of non-fiction.
